Every loved one in our care is assigned a unique identification tag that stays with them throughout the entire process — from collection through to cremation and the return of ashes. This is a requirement under New Zealand law, and it's something we take very seriously. You can be completely confident that the ashes returned to you are those of your loved one.

If the death has been referred to the Coroner, we're not able to collect until the Coroner releases your loved one into our care. Please call us on 0800 920 222 before arranging online — we'll let you know where things stand and talk you through the next steps. There's no rush, and we're happy to answer any questions while you wait.

Yes, absolutely. A direct cremation doesn't mean there's no opportunity to gather. Many families choose to hold a small farewell at home, a celebration of life at a venue of their choosing, or a quiet graveside service when the ashes are interred.

Although we have branches in Hamilton, Tauranga, Waihi, Cambridge and Te Awamutu, along with our own crematorium, this gives us the option to uplift anywhere in the North Island. You are more than welcome to call us on 0800 920 222 and we'll be able to care for your loved one.

From the time we receive your completed paperwork, most families receive ashes within 4–8 days. The timeline can vary depending on Coroner involvement, death certificate processing, or other circumstances outside our control — but we'll keep you updated at every stage via email and text, our family portal will be available 24/7 for updates so you're never left wondering.

After payment, we'll email you links to three short forms: an Authority to Provide Services, an Application for Cremation, and a Death Certificate Details form. These can all be completed online at your own pace. Once we receive the completed forms, we'll confirm your loved ones uplift arrangements with you directly.

The $2,999 price is inclusive of GST and covers our complete direct cremation service, including a cremation coffin and transfer of your loved one into our care within 30km during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm).
A few things to be aware of: an oversized coffin is available if required at an additional cost; transfers over 30km or outside business hours (including weekends from 5pm Friday to 8am Monday) are also available at an additional cost; and doctors' fees for completing the required medical documents are not included in the package.
Payment is required in advance, and the service is available to approved applicants.
